On tip no.4: It's true! I've been using the reverse order for ages and now do it automatically every time I work on a project. My usual file name also contains the language, e.g.:
filename_Eng_XI-03-24.doc
filename_Ru_XI-03-25.doc
In case I've got lots of various files in the same project folder, I sometimes add another mark: filename_Eng_ORIGINAL.doc (or INI for initial). Another mark is ED for edited (same as ready). Of course, each expert has their own system of file naming depending on what they do.
Regards,
Natalia

Thanks, Elge! Super information here. I've never heard the vegetables vs dessert debate, but when you explain as you have, I think about that all the time. It makes perfect, perfect sense. I haven't created info products yet but I plan to do so in the near future.

Thanks again. I have tweeted this out.

Cheers,
Tia

Great Article!
I don't think that this was a screw up. There's no big seo company that doesn't do link building with link purchasing. It would would be endless otherwise.

What I think was the story was that JC started link building, they liked the idea of ranking better and better and everytime they got asked by the company for a more aggresive aproach, they said hell yea!
Let's not forget that to go so aggresive with link purchases, you have to spend a huge amount of money so JC should be very aware from the beginning.

Just my opinion.

The emphasis on link building is completely nuts to me. There are other ways to drive traffic using search engines. I work with a client who is now getting over 60% traffic from search engines via thousands of long-tail keyword searches and we do nothing beyond writing about the news in their industry. We don't do any link building for those posts. The extent to which we promote them is using Twitter.

I'd love to hear a success story of SEO without crazy amounts of focus on link building. I predict that as these methods continue to be exposed, link building is going to be a thing of the past.

I am searching for fresh free blog content, but it seems that such luxuries got to a halt during 2007! Although the three listed above seem to be still commented on and are listed tops in Google, I am sure most internet marketers would like to see more current content for obvious marketing reasons. Who is prepared to help me out with some free stuff here. The easy way to check the original date is to look at the properties of the PDF file!
